Did You Know I Used to Freelance?

Back when I wrote freelance articles, I worked for a green magazine called A Distinctive Style. I wrote a variety of articles, ranging from topics like sustainable fashion to music to animal rescue farms to makeup. One of my favourite articles from that time was about a musician named Ben Sollee, who lowered his carbon footprint by traveling by bicycle for his tours. Another was about Paula Nelson and her musical career, though at the time she was "sittin' still."

What I miss about that magazine was that it was beautifully laid out, and it was interactive. When you opened the pages, music spilled out and breathtaking images leapt out at you. It was easy to fall into, and I was proud to be a part of it.

Though I was involved with other projects, this one stands out in my mind as one I'll never forget.
